I was the third child of LeRoy Eugene Frederick and Jean Marie (Linderman) Frederick.

We resided at 1709 Cheston Drive, Jacinto City, Harris County, Texas from 1948-1968.

My oldest brother was Joseph Lee Frederick, sister Phyllis Jean Frederick (Hyden), me Sally Ann Frederick (Fallin) (Brown) (Tudor) Johnson, my younger brother Karl Thomas Frederick, sisters Patricia Marie Frederick (Vanderford) Harrod, Sarah Kay Frederick (Moore).

Some of my favorite things to do were to play in the water, walk barefoot in the soft, cool, green grass, climbing trees, walking in the woods out behind our houses. In the sixties, we could walk to the store around the block, Handy Dan, with no fear of someone jumping us, trying to rape, or kill us. We celebrated all Christian holidays and birthdays of family and friends. Santa Claus rode down our street on the firetruck and brought us stockings with candy in them.

My Daddy always had a beautiful yard. He laid all the bricks in our back yard for our sidewalk and our patio. He built a wooden picket fence around our house.

We loved my Daddy's barbecued Chicken with his secret barbecue sauce, Mother's potato salad, baked beans, and homemade bread. Daddy gave me the recipe for his famous Chicken and Dumplings, and the family always loved me to make them.

God bless Texas. We spent many a year visiting the San Jacinto Monument, the Battleship of Texas, and then going to the Monument Inn in Highlands, Texas for dinner.
