Sally Ann Frederick, age 6 months, June 1954, Jacinto City, Texas

I, of course do not remember back then. This is the only picture that I have of me as a baby. My parents were not rich, and I was the third born of six children, so they took very few pictures of us. My parents divorced when I was fifteen. Mother remarried in 1968, and Daddy in 1969.

I am grateful that at the age of 16, I decided while I was visiting my Daddy, to take this picture from my daddy and step mother's house. If I had not I would not have it.

They stored a lot of our old pictures in cardboard boxes in an old storage shed at their house. They allowed the bugs and weather to destroy a lot of our precious photos. Can you tell that I was pissed off? I was.

When my daddy passed away, I got NO pictures whatsoever, even though I had begged several people that the only thing that I wanted was pictures or even copies of the pictures for our family genealogy that I worked on for years.

Besides the fact that my daddy had thousands of dollars in his savings, that he wanted divided between his six children and her two children, that we received NONE of! His second wife got everything, and her children. My Daddy's six children got NOTHING!

I am grateful to have had a good, hard working, veteran and American Patriot for my Daddy for as long as I did. He worked hard and always took care of us six children, and he even helped raise her two children from a previous marriage.
